Learning Networks is strongly discipline-focused on the basis that academic engagement and entry to learning and teaching takes place primarily through the disciplines.

Learning Networks interacts with the following discipline groupings:

  • Architecture and Building

  • Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Business, Management and Economics

  • Creative and Performing Arts

  • Education and Human Service Professions

  • Engineering and Technology

  • Health, Medicine and Veterinary Science

  • Law

  • Science

In 2009 Learning Networks funded the following councils of deans to formulate and implement three-year plans to support quality teaching.

In addition to working on the Learning and Teaching Academic Standards Project (LTASP), in 2010 – 2011 Learning Networks is also investigating ways to strengthen relationships with discipline communities, sector-wide groups and international leadership bodies. ■
