Project Outcome

  1. Establish a national Steering Committee for implementing an Entomology Curriculum. 
  2. Establish a course offering of four subjects. 
  3. Develop web portal. 
  4. Shared use of undergraduate subjects by four universities in 2009. 5) Negotiated access to curriculum resources for additional providers (including senior high schools).

Project Methodology

  1. Participants’ meetings to map graduate attributes, establish course structure and establish Steering Committee. 
  2. Agree on appropriate range of media and delivery mechanisms.
  3. Identify suitable content from existing courses.
  4. Appoint content designers (eg web designers, graphic artists).
  5. Develop new course content and combine with existing material in selected delivery modes.\
  6. Develop web portal (ICT specialist).
  7. Negotiate distribution of resources to education providers in Australia.
  8. Advertise course availability and launch course.
