Project Outcome

The project aims to create a scholarly framework, processes and resources for peer review of learning and teaching in e-learning and blended learning environments, develop individual and institutional peer review capacity and embed the use of peer review evidence in quality improvement, performance review, promotion, and teaching award processes.

Project Methodology

The project uses co-productive approaches involving a core project team from the five ATNS, institutional teams of academics and a cross institutional group combining these teams. The teams will develop, trial and evaluate a scholarly framework for evaluating evidence of how and what students learn and how teaching supports this learning in blended learning environments. Case studies will illustrate the framework in different disciplines and teams will pilot and evaluate the framework using peer reviews within and across institutions. Workshops and online materials will be developed to support peer reviewers and reviewees. Workshops, guidelines and resources will then be developed and evaluated to enable academic supervisors and promotion and teaching awards committees to use peer review evidence in making judgements about teaching and learning.
