Project Outcome

The project will produce guidelines, benchmarks, products to improve the capacity of Australian university careers services to facilitate effective career development learning and associated work integrated learning activities.
The project will deliver:

  1. An international literature review of career development learning literature, work-integrated learning and connections to student transitions.
  2. Consultation with key Australian stakeholders who are at the interface between education and work, within the university and industry sectors.
  3. National action research symposium for key stakeholders from all relevant bodies within Australia.
  4. National guidelines and benchmarks for maximising the contribution of career development learning to student transitions and the relationships to teaching and learning.
  5. A model for career development learning suitable for integration into the curriculum in Australian universities.
  6. Document: A resource for higher education institutions: maximising career development learning impact across the university experience.
  7. Produce scholarly publications in refereed journals.
