University teacher of the year announced

An engineering teacher dedicated to the success of his students was awarded the Australian higher education’s most prestigious prize, the Prime Minister’s Award for Australian University Teacher of the Year, in a ceremony at Old Parliament House on Tuesday.   Associate Professor Mahfuz Aziz of the University of South Australia received the accolade at the Australian Learning and Teaching Council's Australian Awards for University Teaching ceremony where the award was presented by the Minister for Employment Participation and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Government Service Delivery, Senator The Hon Mark Arbib. Fellowship leads to global opportunity

ALTC Fellow Associate Professor Helen Partridge is in Norway as a visiting scholar at Oslo University College as part of a four-week program funded by the European Union. As a direct result of her ALTC Fellowship work, which explores models of best practice in library and information science education, Associate Professor Partridge was invited to Norway under the Erasmus Mundus Program which aims to enhance the quality of European higher education.
