Using Web 2.0 Technologies for Online Teaching Workshops
Queensland
3 July 2009
Web 2.0 connects student learning to the realities of online knowledge networks, content creation and creates opportunities for innovative and authentic assessment. This workshop will focus on what's possible, allow you to contribute from your own experience, and build a vision for new, effective approaches to online learning and your own teaching practice.
You will be provided with a framework of ideas, focused discussion opportunities, and examples from the current research work of the presenter. Associate Professor Allen is a nationally recognised university educator, having received an Australian Award for University Teaching in 2000. This workshop is part of Associate Professor Allen’s 2008 ALTC Teaching Fellowship.
This workshop is for higher education teachers already familiar with using online learning techniques, beyond the level of simply placing materials online. Participants will be expected to share and discuss their current ideas with other workshop members. Registration numbers are limited, so be sure to register early.
