The Learning and Teaching Academic Standards Forum is part of the Learning & Teaching Academic Standards Project, a project jointly funded by the ALTC and Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
The project will facilitate and coordinate discipline communities’ definition of discipline-based standards for Australian higher degree programs in six broad disciplines: arts, humanities and social sciences; business, management and economics; creative and performing arts; engineering and technology; health, medicine and veterinary science; and law.
The forum will bring together senior representatives of these six disciplines to reach consensus on what is meant by academic standards. The outcome will be an endorsed program of work for the development of a standards framework for each discipline and identification of relevant resources during 2010.
