The Awards Scheme comprises five Award programs recognising teaching excellence and outstanding contributions to student learning:

  • Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning
  • Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning
  • Awards for Teaching Excellence
  • Prime Minister's Award for Australian University Teacher of the Year
  • Career Achievement Award

The ALTC also provides funding for Award recipients to present at forums and conferences.

Changes for 2011

Citations: An Early Career category has been established and up to 10 Citations will be awarded in this category. There is no change to the overall number of Citations available (210).

Awards: 24 Teaching Awards will be available (currently 27).

No changes to closing dates. Guidelines will be released in September 2010.
