Susan Gilbert Hunt is the Occupational Therapy Program Director at the School of Health Sciences. Susan is a recognised leader in the educational field of occupational therapy and has a strong commitment to the profession. Through her passion and dedication to quality education she has developed a highly successful work-integrated curriculum. Her approach to teaching is underpinned by the notion that we learn by doing, as well as the importance of student engagement in the learning process. By providing authentic learning opportunities she empowers students to develop their analytic abilities and the work skills and attributes needed for future practice in the changing health industry. Susan enjoys the learning partnership she has with students and utilises student and personal experiences, professional feedback and evidence to ensure ongoing developments and improvements to her teaching.
